Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

In pursuance of UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Education Institutions) Regulations, 2015 read with Sexual Harassment of Women a Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the College is constituted as under to deal with complaints relating to Sexual harassment at the work place.

Objectives

  • To prohibit any physical, verbal or non-verbal sexual harassment.
  • To create awareness of the moral and legal issues of sexual harassment.
  • To ensure knowledge and awareness of the rights responsibilities and privileges granted to women.
  • To take measures against any forms of gender-based violence directed towards staff members and students.

Functions

  • Anonymous complaints are received through suggestion box.
  • The internal complaints committee prevents and prohibits incidents of sexual harassment of female employers and students in the college.
  • Organizes periodic activities in association with women empowerment cell.
  • The internal complaints committee provides measures on women safety for teaching, non-teaching faculty and students.
  • Provides an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
  • Displays notice and poster to spread awareness about the issue of "Sexual Harassment".
  • Takes immediate action if any case of sexual harassment is noticed or reported.
  • Maintains confidentiality throughout the process.
